More Incredible Martial Arts in Second US Trailer for 'The Grandmaster'

Just this past spring, the first US trailer for Wong Kar Wai's martial arts drama The Grandmasterarrived with The Weinstein Company releasing the film late this summer. Now a second trailer has surface showcasing some more impressive fighting sequences with Tony Leung as Ip Man, the legendary martial arts grand master who trained Bruce Lee, and Zhang Ziyi, really showing off her skills. Yuen Woo-Ping, who choreographed the fights in The Matrix, Kill Bill and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, has clearly outdone himself. This film looks like it will be a visual treat, and have some mind-blowing action. Watch!

The Grandmaster tells the story of martial arts grand master Ip Man (Tony Leung Chiu Wai), the man who trained Bruce Lee. The story focuses on two kung fu masters, IP Man, and Gong Er, and as their worlds collide on the night of the Japanese invasion in 1936. The plot encompasses themes of war, family, revenge, desire, love, and memory. The cast also includes Ziyi Zhang, Chang Chen, Xiao Shengyang and Song Hye Kyo as well as hundreds of Asia's top martial artists. Chinese filmmaker Wong Kar Wai directs the film which was already released in China and hits US theaters, from The Weinstein Company on August 23rd.
